New Delhi: Samajwadi Party spokesman Ghanshyam Tiwari has given a disputed statement, calling the central government a ‘merchant of death’. He said that this government has imposed four lockdowns. This decision left the workers and the poor destitute. Whoever took this decision, they were none other than ‘merchants of death’. The BJP objected to this and demanded an apology.
SP spokesman Ghanshyam Tiwari gave this statement in a direct question from ABP News’s debate show. He said that the workers are dying every day. The government which is not arranging buses and rail for the workers is a ‘merchant of death’. Senior BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain raised a strong objection to this. He said that the Prime Minister made this decision to save the country.

When did lockdown happen in India?
The lockdown was announced for the first time in India from 25 March to 14 April. When the lockdown was first announced in India, there were less than 600 positive cases in the country. Later they started growing. After this, Lockdown Part-2 was announced from 15 April to 3 May. In view of the situation, the third phase of lockdown from 4 May to 17 May was announced. Now Lockdown-4 continues in the country. It has been planted from 18 May to 31 May.
