(Juhi Aishwary, Intern Journalist): The self-styled Supreme Commander of Hizbul Mujahideen, Muhammad Yusuf Shah alias Syed Salahuddin, who has been the face of terror in Kashmir for decades, has now become a burden for Pakistan and its intelligence agency. The Pakistani agency is not willing to bear the brunt of the killing of big terrorist commanders in Kashmir and the failure to carry out the incident according to the plans of Pakistan.
The ISI had once pushed the Pak-backed Hizbul Mujahideen to shore up terrorist organizations such as JKLF. Salahuddin also left no stone unturned to set fire to the peace of Kashmir at his behest. The Hizbul Mujahideen may deny the attack on Salahuddin, but it is true that he is no longer of any use to the ISI.

Pakistan had extended Hizbul kingpin to prevent JKLF ever
Salahuddin, a resident of Soibug in Budgam, about 20 km from Srinagar, has been a slave in Kashmir for three decades. This self-styled terrorist commander, who was included in the list of global terrorists, received an MA degree in Political Science from the University of Kashmir in 1971.
Salahuddin, one of the senior Jamaat cadres, played a key role in the formation of Muslim United Front Kashmir. He also contested in 1987 from the Batmaloo assembly constituency of Srinagar. The four major militant commanders in Kashmir were Yasin Malik, Javed Mir, Ashfaq Majeed Wani, and Hameed Sheikh as his polling agents. Ashfaq and Hameed have been killed.
Terror spread at the behest of ISI
When the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front strengthened the slogan of independence in Ghulam Kashmir in 1990, the ISI pushed forward Hizbul Mujahideen as its cut. Hizbul may keep tricking the youth on the slogan of independence of Kashmir, but its real purpose is to merge Kashmir with Pakistan.
The Jamaat was in touch with the Pakistani intelligence agency at all levels during that time and about 99 percent of the Hizbul cadre is from the Jamaat background. Salahuddin played an important role in raising Hizbul. When Hizbul took command in place of Master Ahsan Dar, the killings among terrorist groups in Kashmir intensified. At the behest of Pakistan, Hizbul killed terrorist commanders who were against the ISI’s agenda.
Now Aamir Khan handles operational activities
According to experts keeping an eye on Kashmir, Salahuddin’s position is no longer strong. In the last six years, Aamir Khan Ghulam of South Kashmir has been watching the operational activities of Hizbul in Kashmir. He told that age is not with Salahuddin. He is almost 72 years old. The new plant of terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir now wants to go ahead with global Islamic terrorism instead of fulfilling the intentions of every Hukam and ISI coming from slave Kashmir.
Ghulam Kashmir had escaped in 1991
Salahuddin, who was close to the hardliner Syed Ali Shah Geelani, fled to Ghulam Kashmir in 1991 to escape the security forces. Meanwhile, Azam Inquilabi resigned as president of the United Jihad Council. Salahuddin was made the chairman of the Jihad Council following the resignation of Inquilabi, as he was an ISI Yesman.
Hizbul withdrew from talks under pressure from ISI
About twenty years ago, Hizbul Mujahideen began the process of negotiating with the central government, declaring the war, but Salahuddin retreated under pressure from the ISI. Most of the commanders of the faction led by Majid Dar were killed by Salahuddin supporters.
