A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court against Sonia, Rahul Gandhi and other Congress leaders for the MoU signed between the UPA Government and the Chinese Government in 2008. The petition, filed by an advocate, demanded that the apex court issued a direction to the NIA to examine the said agreement under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act 1967. In the midst of the ongoing dispute with China over LAC in Galvan Meanwhile, the political battle between the Congress and the BJP has also intensified.

In response to Rahul Gandhi’s attacks, the BJP has made the Congress’s relationship with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) a major issue. After the attack on Manmohan Singh for surrendering thousands of square kilometres of land to China on Monday, BJP President JP Nadda blamed the agreement between Congress and CCP for this. And then tweeted the decisions related to the changed attitude of the Manmohan Singh government and the Congress. According to him, it was only after the agreement that the then Congress-led United Progressive Alliance government surrendered thousands of kilometres of land to China. When Doklam happened, Rahul Gandhi went to the Chinese Embassy to meet the Chinese Ambassador to India. They also tried to hide this.
