(Anjali Shreya, Intern Journalist): The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League will begin in the United Arab Emirates on 19th September and the final will be played on 8th November. IPL chairman Brijesh Patel confirmed that the dates had been finalized and would be approved by the Governing Council on completion in a week’s time. The teams are expected to leave India by 20 August and foreign stars and coaches are expected to join the squads directly in UAE. After the 14-day quarantine period, the teams will start practicing and the tournament will begin on 19th September. The IPL, which was earlier scheduled for March 2020, was delayed due to the Covid-19 and has now taken the window of what was previously the World T20.
