(Sandhya Jha, Intern Journalist): Cricket Australia has fixed the schedule for the year-end Test series with India. However, its official announcement may be made on Friday. According to a report, the first match will be played on 3 December in Brisbane. After this, the Indian team will play their first day-night test abroad, which will be in Adelaide on 11 December.
The Indian team has to play 4 Tests and 3 ODIs in Australia. Due to Corona, Team India players will have to keep themselves in isolation for 14 days on the tour, which has been allowed by the BCCI. However, there is no information about the ODI series yet.
Boxing Day Test will be held on 26 December
The Boxing Day Test will also be played in Melbourne between the two countries on 26 December. This will be followed by the New Year Test in Sydney on 3 January. In fact, the match on December 26, the next day after Christmas, is called the Boxing Day Test. While the first match of the year is called the New Year Test.
Team India will play its second day-night test
The Indian team will play its second day in Adelaide and the first day-night test abroad. Team India played its first day-night test against Bangladesh in Kolkata on 22 November 2019. In this match, India won by an innings and 46 runs.
Test series will depend on circumstances
According to the report, the CA stated that it was necessary to set a schedule for the test series. However, whether or not this series will take place will depend on Corona’s condition in Australia in October-November. It was previously speculated that all these tests could be held on the same ground, but this is not the case right now. This decision will be taken only when the circumstances are out of control.
Australia will play a test from Afghanistan in November
Australia will begin their cricket season with a Test match against Afghanistan before the series against India. This day-night test will be played in Perth from 21 November. This will be the first test between the two countries.

The last time a series of 4 Tests was played between the two countries in late 2018. India then won 2–1 in the series on the tour of Australia. This was Team India’s first Test series win in Australia.
