Deoria: Deoria: The Forest Department has made the plantation drive success in the district. Has met the set target. Apart from the forest department, other departments have also met their targets. The officers and employees of the department were not happy with this achievement. If these plants are ready then the dream of greenery in the district will surely come true.
The target was to plant 26.22 lakh plants
The forest department was given the target of planting 26.22 lakh saplings for plantation. The department planted 26.52 lakh saplings. The department planted more than 30 thousand saplings with the target. Other departments also supported
Education Department, Development Department, Police Department, Gram Panchayat Department, and many other departments were entrusted with the responsibility of planting saplings. The target of all these departments was given 10 lakh 64 thousand 230. All the departments met 10 674 hundred saplings, meeting the target.
Challenge of saving plants amidst rainwater
Due to heavy rains in the district, about 20 percent of the plants remained underwater. In such a situation, the department is now conducting a survey of how many saplings have been dried. Departmental officials say that the loss of 10 percent of the plants is estimated.
The target given to the departments other than the forest department has been met. Plants like sesam, teak, Arjun, eucalyptus, etc. were planted during this period. People do not get support. This time, apart from making special requests to save the plants, the department is also trying from its level.
