Gehlot sent a proposal to Governor to call the session on 31 July Amid the current political crisis in Rajasthan, the cabinet headed by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has sent a revised proposal to the Governor for convening assembly session from 31 July. In the resolution reached to the Governor late on Saturday night, the state cabinet has requested to call the assembly session from July 31. Governor Kalraj Mishra sought clarification on six points from the state government after five-hour sit-in by Congress MLAs at Raj Bhavan on Friday to convene the assembly session.

Ajay Maken said, ‘Speaker’s notice has never been stopped in the democratic history to date. The decision-making process of the speaker was never stopped. The democratically elected government wants to call the assembly session but there are obstacles. The governor is not calling a session despite the government and the cabinet saying. It is a murder of democracy. The government is fighting Congress instead of fighting Corona, economic crisis, and China. The BJP is conspiring to topple the elected government. Democracy should be saved inside Rajasthan.

Apart from this, the Rajasthan government has sent a new proposal to Governor Kalraj Mishra, which calls for the assembly session from July 31. It states that the bills and the coronavirus will be discussed in the session.
