According to the information, the price of this medicine will be just 59 rupees. This drug is formulated by Brinton Pharmaceuticals. The company said in a statement that it has received permission from DGCI to market the antiviral drug favipirvir to the brand name Faviton.

The statement states that the drug will be in the form of 200 mg of tablet. Its maximum selling price of Rs 59 means that in any situation in the market it will not be sold for more than Rs 59. The statement said that the global clinical evidence surfacing suggests that favipiravir is an effective treatment option for the treatment of mild to moderate levels of coronavirus.

The company has stated that Faviton is an antiviral drug that will help corona patients fight Coronavirus infection. Brendon Pharma CMD Rahul Kumar Darda said, ‘Everyone needs medicine at this time. We want every corona patient in the country to get this medicine. We will deliver it to every Covid Center. Brinton Pharmaceuticals reported that Favipiravir in India was first permitted by regulatory authorities in June this year under the Emergency Use Authority to treat patients infected with the coronavirus. The statement said that the company will make this medicine available in the Indian market as well as it will also import this medicine. Faviton Fujifilm is the generic version of the drug Avigan from Toyama Chemical Corporation Limited.
